FHLBank Atlanta Data Center
Initially, BCE was commissioned to design a UPS replacement, but after a quick review of the existing electrical infrastructure it became clear that more was needed.
The bank’s major concern was how to completely replace the existing infrastructure, not designed for redundancy and maintainability, while keeping the data center operational and the building occupied.
Two redundant UPS systems now protect the data center. Redundant closed-transition switchgear transfers the load to the new generators in case of utility failure, and provides two sources of power to the critical data center equipment.
